Septic, Excavation and Land Clearing in Frontenac County

M. Riddle Excavating installs septic systems, digs foundations, clears land and builds driveways across Frontenac County, and our Riddle Aggregates yard is in Inverary. Since September 1, 2023, each of the four Frontenac townships handles its own septic permits: South Frontenac, Central Frontenac, North Frontenac and Frontenac Islands. Here is who to contact in each, checked against each township’s own website on October 29, 2026.

What Changed in 2023

South Frontenac used to accept and issue septic permits for the other three townships as well. Its own page now says that effective September 1, 2023, it no longer accepts or issues sewage system permits or provides plans review under Part 8 of the Ontario Building Code for North Frontenac, Central Frontenac and Frontenac Islands. If your property is in one of those three, apply to your own township. For more on the process, read our Frontenac County septic permit guide and our guide to septic setback distances in Frontenac County.
